IPC reading of the 2026 state of the nation address
An office PDF dated 8 April 2026 replies to President Nandi-Ndaitwah’s 2026 state of the nation address by placing the 2025 and 2026 texts side by side.
The office PDF describes the 2026 address as 65 pages and 183 numbered paragraphs, theme “Advancing Towards the Realization of Vision 2030”, against a 24 April 2025 address of 36 pages and 99 paragraphs.
On the economy, it reads the 2025 address as having expected growth of 4.5 percent in 2025, and the 2026 address as projecting GDP growth from 1.7 percent in 2025 to 3.1 percent in 2026. It also reads national debt in the 2026 address as N$172 billion at 62 percent of GDP. Those figures are his reading of the two SONA texts. They are not findings of this site.
A separate 10 April 2026 Namibian report of a Windhoek briefing on tertiary fees is in this archive under that date. Later passages in the 8 April office PDF that name private interests, or that use wording this site does not reprint, are held.
