APPRECIATION FOR THE COURTESY MEETING

1.
On behalf of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), I wish to extend our
sincere gratitude for the warm reception and cordial courtesy meeting
accorded to ourselves, during our engagement with Your Excellency and
delegation of UNITA.

2.
The meeting was not only a demonstration of mutual respect and solidarity
between our respective movements, but also a reaffirmation of the enduring
historical bonds between the peoples of Namibia and Angola. Our two
nations share a profound history shaped by common struggles for liberation,

regional solidarity, and the pursuit of democracy, dignity, and self-
determination for our people.

As neighboring states with intertwined histories and shared aspirations for
prosperity, peace, and democratic advancement, it remains imperative that
progressive political forces across our region continue to engage
constructively and strengthen cooperation. The exchange of ideas,
experiences,
and
strategies
between
our
movements
contributes
meaningfully to the consolidation of democratic institutions and responsive
governance within Southern Africa.

This engagement comes at a particularly important moment, as both our
nations continue preparations toward future electoral processes. In this
regard, collaboration and dialogue among democratic actors remain
essential in promoting credible democratic participation, accountable
leadership, political tolerance, and the aspirations of ordinary citizens.

The IPC highly values the spirit of fraternity and openness demonstrated by
Your Excellency and your delegation. We remain confident that relations
between our respective parties and the broader peoples of Namibia and
Angola will continue to deepen in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of
our countries and the Southern African region as a whole.
